ART&CRAFT

Every year we invite local artists and craftspeople, both amateur and professional, to exhibit their work at our summer Exhibition and Sale of Art and Craft held at our village hall in Walkhampton. This year we are proud to have reached our 35th year of exhibiting, with the promise of a fine array of works to be displayed in a range of media – oil, acrylic, and watercolour painting, pastel, photography, ceramic, willow, textile, and jewellery. Hand-made soaps, needlework and cards will also be on sale. While our exhibition provides a forum for local artists, it also benefits the wider community as commission from sales helps to fund improvements for Walkhampton Memorial Hall.

Throughout the exhibition which runs for four days, 24 October to 27th October 2018, our renowned coffee shop will be serving a delicious selection of home-made cakes and light lunches. Admission to the exhibition is free and there is plenty of parking. We look forward to seeing you there!

NEWS

Project George
Every year we endeavour to support a local 'good cause' and this year commission from sales, a raffle, and voluntary contributions will go towards 'Project George', Walkhampton's plan for an extension to the Memorial Hall. The project was initiated following a generous bequest from our much loved and respected village elder George Eggins, and aims to deliver greatly improved facilities for all hall and sports field users.
