Turning Ideas into Images and Action
A film starts with a kernal of an idea and can become a blockbuster. Between the initial idea and the moment the dream hits the big screen, there are a myriad of design processes to run through. These ideas may be fantastic in ones mind but it's only when we create images from these ideas that others can understand and appreciate them.
To ensure your ideas live and don't die a death, you will need to tap into the expertise of a creative and experienced film designer.
My apprentiship in film began as a concept designer working alongside Oscar winning production designer, Rolf Zehetbauer (Caberet 1972), in 1991 producing story boards for 'Under Siege' and has continued with ongoing projects such as, IM Stopping Power, by Director Jan De Bont, and the Paul Verhoefen film, Azazel, with production designer Cornelia Ott.
Opposite is an evolutionary phase of the creation of the production logo for the movie, Stopping Power, an idea by production designer, Carlos Menendez.
